(वास्तुशात्र ) Traditional Hindu Architecture and Directions 

East Direction:

The rising direction...pitrustan suchak ,fire intensity is greater at this direction ,Indra is the guider of this direction.
This is entry gate for sunlight.So keep east side of our house is empty.

West Direction:

This is sunset direction.
This direction is for happyness.This is main for air and water. Air is always happy and naughty thats why this directional home people are always happy and funny.

North Direction:

This is opposite to south direction.
This is water obtaining direction.North direction is blessed by Lakshmiji.So this side direct greater amount treausere source obtaining.So light comming from this side is good for our home.

South Direction:

It is opposite to north direction.This direction is occupied by "Prithvi Tatva".This direction is under the power of God YAM.Hence this direction is called ..Muktipradan..

Things which are under the different planets:

Sun: light, lamp, power, things use in official work,

mercury: books ..granth, study room

Moon: water in home,milk etc

Mars: foods,dining hall,

Jupiter: air flow,rooms,warship spot

Venus: weak wall,entertainment things,wife or lover,musical instruments

Saturn: garbage,black color animal,ferrous contain things

Good spot for building house:

-For selecting a spot for house dig a one feet hole in ground.Filled it with full of water, allow it for   24 hours.After that if water remain in the hole or absorbed in small quantity then its a very good   spot for building house.
-If half water is absorb and half is empty then this is good spot.
-If water fully absorb or if crack form then it is bad spot.

Plot shape is important:

- Plot with square shape is very good
- Triangular shape will drop you in coart 
- Circular plot will show unbalance of the landlord
- Pentagonal shape plot is not good it show sadness many time

About kitchen room:

- It must between east and south direction
- The marble in kitchen is of 'L' shape and its face towards east side
- Height of the kitchen marble is 32"
- The distance between gas burner and refrigerator should be less
- Colour of kitchen walls should be of faint in colour
- Avoid to use white colour of surface tile     

About bathroom:

- For this east side is good to refer or at west,north and south-southwest cornerside
- If front door of house is at east side then bathroom should be at east side
- Washing area near the bathroom refer good
- Slope of bathroom tile is in east or north direction
- Bathroom wall colour is skyblue or any faint colour

About latrine:

- Many times ago or 50 years older time there is no laterine inside the house
- But due to lack of space laterine in build inside the house
- Right spot selection is needed for laterine spot
- south,west,south-east,north-east are the good direction for laterine
- If laterine is on south-west direction then its height is build quite broad.
- When it is in use our face is not towards south or west direction.Consider this points at the time of      construction
- For water taps east,west and north are good directions for water taps

About study room:

- Should be specious and silence
- Build in east or north direction
- Sitting arrengement is in east or north face
- Room colour must be of faint and window cover cloths may be dark
- Flowers,flowers pots,pictures of freedom fighters or any motivational things will increase the love      towards study
- Children studyroom should be clean

How to dig a well:

-Always dig in circular shape because square shape will impact bad on life
-Well,water tank etc. never place near the entry gate of house
-Well dig in east,west or north direction will be better

About shop or hall:

- Short entry gate and behind part is long of shop and hall will impact bad on business
- Triangular shape hall or shop will impact very bad
- Never build irregular shape or for the showcase exact in front of hall or shop because it distrube the     mind of owner   or worker
- Outside of the hall always try to keep it clean and should be free of obstacles and exited
- Flower is of less resisting texture and of less inclindness
- Place for warship is at north-east direction and should be clean
- For staircase is building except north-east direction
- Cupboard,showcase,or other thing place in middle of south-east direction
- North east part is make free for come-go
