Important physics related definition in simple way 


1) Length: Length is measurement of distance between points.  Eg. Scale
Scale 
2) Mass: Mass is sum of quantity of matter present in the respective body
               it is a scaler quantity, as it is independent of direction
3) Time: Time is what a clock read.
4)Volume: Volume is the quantity of three dimensional space enclosed by a close surface
                    It is a scaler quantity

5)Distance: Distance is length between points .Say A and B are two point and L is length between                         them. 
                   This is scaler quantity as direction is not matter


6)Displacement: Displacement is shortest distance between points. Say A and B are two points and L is displacement between them.
Displacement is a vector quantity as direction is matter in this case                           
Displacement is always less than distance but it exactly same only when line is straight
If a body start moving and come back to its original position (or starting position) then that body have Zero displacement but its distance is its total length it cover
 e.g. A clock hand have zero displacement but its distance is as it cover




7)Speed: Speed is the ratio of total distance covered to total time taken or we can say it is distance covered in a unit time (in 1 second).
 This is a scaler quantity as distance is scaler quantity


8)Velocity: Velocity is ratio of total distance or total displacement to total time taken or we can say it is displacement covered in a unit time (in 1 second).
 This is vector quantity as displacement is vector quantity
 Note: Here you will get confused in speed and velocity so the difference is, when we find speed we have to consider time taken to complete distance between point  but in finding velocity we have to consider displaement i.e. shortest distance between point

9)Weight: Weight is force exerted by body due to gravity
            The difference between weight and mass is force of gravity which only act in case of weight.
             It is vector quantity as gravity is acting in downward direction











10)Acceleration: Acceleration is ratio of change in velocity to total time
                         it is vector quantity as velocity is vector
